Russian President Spokesperson: Russia is not ready to recognize Bitcoin

September 8 report According to the Russian newspaper Izvestia website on September 7, Russian presidential spokesman Peskov said on the 7th that Russia is not prepared to recognize Bitcoin and has no reason to recognize it.

Peskov believes that treating the cryptocurrency on an equal footing with fiat currencies will only undermine the financial and economic system. He added: “If it is fully recognized as a means of payment.”

El Salvador is the first country in the world to legalize Bitcoin as a means of payment. The country's laws stipulate that the exchange rate between this cryptocurrency and the US dollar will be determined by the market, all prices can be expressed in Bitcoin, and Bitcoin can also be used to pay taxes.
