According to Yonhap Infomax, the financial news department of Yonhap News Agency, according to the list of 63 virtual asset operators released by the South Korean government, as of last month, 21 exchanges have passed the Korean Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification conducted by the Korea Internet and Security Agency, including Bithumb, Upbit, Korbit, Coinone, Huobi Korea, etc. Among the 42 companies that have not obtained ISMS certification, 18 are applying for certification. In addition, through special rectification investigations, South Korean government departments have investigated and dealt with 141 virtual currency fraud cases involving 520 people, and confiscated 255.6 billion won (about US$219 million) in criminal proceeds. |
