The custodians of the OKEx cold wallet passwords are located in China and the United States, and the backup is in the safe deposit boxes of two banks in China and the United States.

According to the OKEx official website, the OKEx Bitcoin cold wallet generates 10,000 private keys and corresponding addresses on a completely offline computer, and deletes the original private keys after AES encryption.

The AES password is controlled by two people in different locations of the company. OKEx's two password holders, one in the OKEx office and the other in a city in the western United States, are not allowed to ride on the same vehicle.

The encrypted private key and plaintext address will generate a QR code encrypted document and be backed up in a bank safe in a different location. OKEx has two backups, one in a bank safe near the OKEx office and the other in a bank safe in a city in the eastern United States.
