The $9,000 mark is just around the corner! Bitcoin is soaring again

According to Coindesk data, the price of bitcoin has continued to soar so far this weekend, hitting its highest intraday level in a year, approaching $9,000.

Bitcoin slightly rose above $8,900 on Monday morning Beijing time, but then quickly retreated and was last reported at $8,740. The last time Bitcoin reached the above high was in May 2018.

Bitcoin prices have surged in recent weeks, rising more than 130 percent so far this year and 60 percent so far in May alone.

As Bitcoin rose, most virtual currencies also rose, with Litecoin rising 12% in an hour and the rest of the currencies rising between 7-8%.

CMC data shows that the total market value of Bitcoin has exceeded the $150 billion mark, reaching a new high this year, and is now $152.7 billion. The total market value of the cryptocurrency market has risen to $268.1 billion, the highest point since August 3, 2018.

Analysts pointed out that part of the good news for Bitcoin comes from the fact that Fidelity Investments has finally finalized its plan to buy and sell digital assets for institutional clients, and Nasdaq-listed brokerage E*Trade will also offer cryptocurrency trading.

According to news last Friday, technology giant Facebook has negotiated with the largest trading institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges in the United States to issue a new global cryptocurrency.

Additionally, as international trade tensions continue, investors are looking to Bitcoin as another safe haven.

In an interview with industry media CryptoBriefing, Alex Mashinsky, founder of cryptocurrency startup Celsius Network, revealed that he expects Bitcoin to break through $10,000 soon.
