Iran has officially recognized cryptocurrency mining as an industry, and the Central Bank of Iran will draft a policy framework for the cryptocurrency mining industry within the next 18 days. Abolhassan Firouzabadi, secretary of Iran's Supreme Cyberspace Committee, said that the in-depth use of cryptocurrencies is to facilitate trade between Tehran and its partners, especially after the United States re-imposed sanctions.
