Coin Center Executive Director: In 5 years, Bitcoin will become the new generation of Google

Jerry Brito, executive director of Coin Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, said that in five years, Bitcoin will become very powerful.

Coin Center is a Washington-based think tank that studies blockchain and digital currency.

Brito suggested that the government provide a relaxed regulatory environment for the development of blockchain technology. He believes that now is the best time to enter the cryptocurrency field.

In 2014, Brito founded Coin Center, an independent non-profit research center aimed at addressing cryptocurrency regulatory issues. Brito has always been a staunch Bitcoin supporter.

He said:

We can look at Bitcoin from the perspective of the early days of the Internet. In the mid-1990s, Netscape (browser) was released before we understood what the real web was. Five years later, Google came along and made the web more powerful. Another five years later, we had Facebook and Netflix (online movie provider), which are now commonplace applications.

So where does Bitcoin stand today compared to the Internet? Look, I think in 5-10 years, Bitcoin will be everything that everyone expects it to be and will be incredibly powerful. And that means now is the best time to get into cryptocurrency.

“Pro-Bitcoin policies”

Maybe you don’t completely agree with Brito’s views, but in recent years, with the development of public chain network technology, he has been committed to improving the regulatory environment in the United States and encouraging innovation in related companies. As the founder of the Blockchain and Digital Currency Research Center, he has always advised the government to adopt open regulatory measures. Under his promotion, the US House of Representatives launched a "pro-Bitcoin policy" - HR 835 resolution (full text download).
