Jaxx blockchain wallet adds decentralized prediction cryptocurrency Augur

Decentral, the creator of the universal blockchain wallet Jaxx, has announced a partnership with Ethereum-powered prediction market Augur to integrate its currency REP. Announced in early 2015 and crowdfunded through a token presale, Augur aims to allow users to trade based on event outcomes while allowing the market to leverage crowdsourced information.

REP currently has a market cap of approximately $77.5 million, making it the eighth largest blockchain asset. The integration allows Jaxx users to manage REP in one place, providing users with access to prediction markets, as well as those who generate doubts and thousands of people who place bets on the probability of future events.

The Augur integration comes just days after Apple approved Ethereum Classic, meaning that now all five of the world’s most valuable cryptocurrencies are available to users of the Jaxx wallet’s iPad and iPhone clients. Litecoin had already been pre-approved by Apple, and Jaxx submitted a new version of its wallet, including Litecoin and REP, for Apple’s review.
