Blockchain experts launch Zeppelin, the first secure and reliable smart contract framework

Crazy Review : Zeppelin Project Smart Contract Solutions has launched a proposal to build a blockchain-agnostic security platform to more easily confirm the security of smart contracts. A secure smart contract platform can prevent unexpected financial losses, such as The DAO, the largest smart contract on Ethereum. Zeppelin is particularly interested in using smart contracts because it can make business operations easier.

Amid concerns about the viability of blockchain-based smart contracts, one company has launched a proposal that aims to make it easier to confirm the security of smart contracts.

The proposal was developed by Smart Contract Solutions, an open-source Zeppelin project that aims to provide a community-driven architecture for secure and audited code. Its goal is to prevent unexpected losses of funds, as best illustrated by the collapse of The DAO, Ethereum’s largest smart contract.

Since Ethereum is best known as a smart contract platform, the first set of tools was written in the platform's programming language Solidity. However, Zeppelin is also compatible with Rootstock (a smart contract platform built on the Bitcoin blockchain, dedicated to building a side chain of the Bitcoin blockchain by integrating smart contracts to solve the original defects of the Bitcoin blockchain) and some private chains.

Its vision is to build a blockchain-agnostic security platform.

Demian Brener

Zeppelin developer Demian Brener told CoinDesk:

“Zeppelin aims to bridge the gap by helping developers build secure smart contracts, thereby driving the development of distributed applications, protocols, and organizations.”

The platform was co-developed by Brener and Manuel Aráoz, both of whom are no strangers to blockchain development work.

The two developers previously collaborated to create a video platform Streamium, and Aráoz is known to have worked on creating Proof of Existence, one of the first projects that envisioned how blockchain could be used to verify data.

Smart contracts, popularized by Ethereum, are self-executing codes that can automate tasks and agreements, with the long-term goal of reducing human intervention.

Brener said Zeppelin is particularly interested in using smart contracts because they can make it easier to do business. One day, the team envisions creating an autonomous organization that automatically rewards users for their contributions to open source projects.
