Would you like to receive Bitcoin? BitEvery from Silicon Valley wants to make Bitcoin rewards as easy as clicking a like

Reward tools have always been one of the indispensable applications in the digital currency community. Recently, five Chinese Bitcoin fans in Silicon Valley developed a new reward application BitEvery, hoping to make Bitcoin rewards as easy as clicking a like.

There is no shortage of reward applications in the digital currency community. The reason for choosing this direction to start a business is that the culture of small rewards is becoming popular. The zero-cost attribute of likes and the increasing number of habitual likes have gradually reduced the satisfaction people get from the act of likes. The currently popular red envelope culture, such as WeChat red envelopes, is consistent with BitEvery's concept. But there are also problems. The current reward culture tends to guide a few people to make larger rewards, rather than encouraging most people to make small rewards. Large amounts distort rewards into a profit-making behavior rather than a way to enhance feelings; second, from a technical perspective, the emergence of digital currency solves the problems of cumbersome processes, slow transactions, high fees, and inconsistent currency units in the traditional financial system for small online rewards.

BitEvery is an application that focuses on rewarding and aims to solve the above problems. Its original intention is to create a cross-website, platform-based reward system. Founder Liang Xinghua said,

"The biggest difference between rewarding and liking in terms of technical implementation is that a website can have its own liking system, but it is impossible to have an isolated reward system. Rewarding involves the transfer of money. If in order to achieve rewards, users need to manage their own currency accounts on major websites, and such accounts often only involve small amounts of money, then this cumbersome process is fatal in terms of user experience and it is impossible to succeed. Therefore, we believe that a successful reward system must be cross-website and platform-based. The small-amount payment, networking, and cross-border attributes of rewards themselves are a natural match with digital currencies. As the leader in digital currencies, Bitcoin is undoubtedly our best choice."

Unlike other reward applications, BitEvery focuses on simplifying the reward process and promotes the concept of small rewards, realizing "allowing every user to reward as freely as clicking a like". From the user's perspective, the ultimate experience provided to rewarders and recipients is reflected in these details: setting multiple recipients; allowing rewarders to cancel the operation within 24 hours; each reward will save the corresponding reward work link, which is convenient for rewarders to browse at any time; each reward or red envelope transaction has a detailed date and status list. At the same time, from the perspective of transparency and security, BitEvery is also a reward application with full on-chain transactions.

In terms of profit model, since BitEvery's purpose is to create a relaxed and enjoyable rewarding environment, its ordinary users can use the rewarding service permanently for free. Therefore, the future profit direction is to provide special entrances and more value-added functions for enterprise users.

The BitEvery team now has five members, formed by Liang Xinghua and several like-minded friends he met while studying at Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, all team members are working in the United States, engaged in the software, Internet and financial industries.

The team members are all die-hard Bitcoin fans. They have been exposed to Bitcoin since 2010. Like most people, their first encounter with Bitcoin came from an article reporting the rapid appreciation of Bitcoin in a short period of time. Along the way, they have also experienced a variety of experiences, including buying and selling Bitcoin and altcoins, assembling computers for mining, ordering futures mining machines, and participating in various forms of crowdfunding.

Liang Xinghua said, “We are all supporters and evangelists of Bitcoin, and we firmly believe that Bitcoin will become the mainstream application of the next generation of currency.”

Regarding whether small transactions that are fully on-chain transactions will be affected by the Bitcoin expansion plan that has yet to be finalized, Liang Xinghua explained, "Bitcoin expansion can ease the current transaction capacity pressure of the Bitcoin network and allow Bitcoin transactions to be processed faster, so BitEvery supports the expansion plan. Although Bitcoin expansion will increase the hardware and network requirements for ordinary users, it will have little impact on corporate users. Even without expansion, BitEvery's small reward service will not be significantly affected, because BitEvery optimizes the reward transactions in batches and can ensure a higher processing priority."

During the interview, Liang Xinghua also revealed some of the team's views on blockchain. Regarding the phenomenon that the outside world focuses more on "blockchain" rather than "bitcoin", he believes that "in the field of digital currency, Bitcoin is undisputed as a pioneer and leader. If only one of the existing digital currencies will succeed, we believe that Bitcoin is the only choice. Now some people are worried that Bitcoin will be ignored because blockchain has received more attention. We believe that Bitcoin and blockchain are not in opposition, but complement each other. Now that Bitcoin has emerged and spread widely, more and more people have learned about blockchain, and in the future, more and more people will understand and like Bitcoin because of studying blockchain."

In terms of product planning, the team is currently developing a mobile app to further enhance the user experience, while also improving the API and striving to provide automated solutions for websites and forums that are interested in using BitEvery services.

All the initial investment in BitEvery came from the five founders of the startup team. After the official launch, it will apply for angel round financing based on the number of users and feedback.
