Lisk crowdfunding exceeds 4600 BTC and officially joins Microsoft Azure BaaS project

In just a few weeks, decentralized application and custom blockchain development platform Lisk has become one of the largest crowdfunding companies. Their crowdfunding has now exceeded 4,600 BTC. At the same time, the Lisk team announced their first round of strategic partnerships.

The Lisk team is working with Microsoft to bring the Lisk platform to the Azure cloud platform. As a first step, Microsoft Azure has officially integrated Lisk into the Azure Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) project, which means that developers around the world can use the Azure cloud computing platform and infrastructure to develop, test, and deploy Lisk decentralized applications.

Also today, the Lisk team announced that they have established a strategic partnership with Chain of Things (COT) Labs. COT Labs will be responsible for studying whether blockchain technology can effectively improve the security of the Internet of Things. COT's goal is to test whether it is feasible to create blockchain-based Internet of Things applications on a global scale.

Lisk CEO Max Kordek said in a company blog post:

“Lisk will serve as an advisor to COT Labs alongside Ethereum and IOTA. Therefore, we hope that our efforts can help this project succeed and establish open industry standards together with the participants.”
