Scotcoin is now accepted in a century-old pub in Scotland

The Arlington, a century-old pub in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, has begun accepting the digital currency Scotcoin . Currently, Scotcoin can only be used to purchase specific beers in the pub.

    This pub is the first in Scotland to accept digital virtual currency . In an interview with the Scottish Herald, the head of the pub said in a low-key manner, "We just want to promote the development of Scotcoin , but we will not use Scotcoin to pay the staff's salary. The bar will adapt to the changing world, so we decided to accept digital currency."

The Arlington Bar has a history of more than 100 years. The bar opened in 1860 and was named after the Arlington Stone of Destiny. Legend has it that Arlington is a red sandstone that is usually used in the coronation ceremony of Scottish monarchs to symbolize destiny. Later, the stone was taken away by King Edward I of England during the war and was later placed in Westminster Abbey in 1296.

    Later, it was said that four Scottish students secretly brought the Stone of Destiny back to Scotland a century after it was taken away from England. It was rumored that the one in London was a fake one, and the real one was hidden in the Arlington Bar.
