Bitcoin House News September 22 CoinDesk reported that Kuala Innovations has funded a startup in the Bitcoin industry. The news was confirmed by Kuala Innovations executive director Jim Mellon , reportedly one of the richest men in the U.K., who told CoinDesk the group owns a 10 percent stake in SatoshiPay, a bitcoin micropayments provider. Mellon said : “ This is the first bitcoin-related company that Kuala has invested in. He has previously invested in the medical technology sector. ”
He said Kuala is very interested in the micropayment concept.
Although Mellon declined to reveal further details, SatoshiPay revealed in an announcement that it had received €160,000 in seed funding from Kuala Innovations .
The Washington Post reported that Kuala ’s investment was part of a larger round led by bitcoin blockchain investment firm Coinsilium . |
