Sidu was originally the name of a large river. Physiognomy used it to refer to facial organs or parts, and based on it to predict a person's fortune and longevity. If the four rivers are clear, straight, bright and flowing, wealth can be increased. But if it is turbid and short-sighted, then all things will not grow, and a person’s intelligence, stupidity, nobility, humbleness, happiness, longevity, poverty and early death can also be inferred from it.
Note: The Four Rivers refer to the four rivers that ancient people knew flowed into the sea separately. The southern canal is called the Yangtze River, the eastern canal is called the Huai River, the western canal is called the Yellow River, and the northern canal is called the Ji River. Among the four rivers, only the Ji River is clear. It is also called the Daqing River. It originates from Jiyuan in the south of Taihang Mountains and flows east into the sea. Later, the Yellow River changed its course and took over the Ji River, which became turbid. By the 19th century, the Ji River dried up and disappeared.
