Aion Mining Tutorial

Aion is a third-generation blockchain that introduces a new security model and is a fair and representative crypto-economic incentive mechanism. It currently supports N-card mining under the Linux system.

The following is a brief introduction to how to mine Aion using a graphics card.

1. Get the wallet address.

There are two ways to obtain Aion addresses. ( The exchange address cannot be used for mining at present. It cannot be used for mining. It cannot be used for mining. I say it three times because it is important! )

Method 1:

Visit https://testwallet.aion.network and follow the instructions on the webpage to generate a new Aion wallet address. (Please remember to save the Keystore, your own private key and password)

Method 2:

Download the full node wallet from https://github.com/aionnetwork/aion/releases ( currently only supports Linux systems );

After decompression, enter the directory and execute the command: ./aion.sh -a create . Enter the password to obtain the wallet address.

In addition, you need to back up your wallet for remote wallet recovery. The backup method is: enter the command ./aion.sh -a export {wallet address} , export the private key, and save it.

2. Start mining.

Aion currently only supports Linux systems and Nvidia cards for mining. Mining can be done through MinerOS, or directly through the Linux version of the mining software for Nvidia cards.

Method 1: Linux miner, directly use N card to mine

a) For Linux mining machines, obtain the latest version of Smartminer mining software through [SmartMiner download link];

b) After decompression, execute the specified command:

./SmartMiner.v3.1 -l aion.f2pool.com 6677 -cd 0 1 2 3 4 5 -u wallet_address.worker_name

Among them, -l fills in the mining pool address, aion.f2pool.com 6677, which is the Aion mining pool address of F2Pool;

-cd fills in the serial number of the graphics card to be called. The default here is card 6. If there are multiple graphics cards, just add the serial number of the corresponding graphics card, such as: -cd 0 1 2 3 (4 cards), -cd 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 (8 cards);

-u Fill in the wallet address you use to receive Aion mining income. If you need to add a miner number, just customize the miner number after the wallet address. The miner number and wallet address are separated by an English period "."

c) After executing the command, mining will begin.

Method 2: Mining with MinerOS

a) First use the "minerOS system tool" (specific method: http://help.mineros.cn/index.php?s=/1&page_id=36) to create a USB disk (U disk space is more than 16G), the current latest version is version 1.3.7 system;

b) Insert the USB flash drive into the mining machine, start the mining machine through the USB flash drive, log in to the minerOS system through ssh (specific method: http://help.mineros.cn/index.php?s=/1&page_id=53), and use the following command to update the system to version 1.3.8.

c) After the upgrade is complete, create an Aion mining template, select F2Pool (or custom mining pool: aion.f2pool.com 6677), add the Aion mainnet wallet address, and start mining, as shown below:

d) Since the Aion mining software cannot obtain the computing power of each card at present, minerOS will display the total computing power on the first card. In addition, versions before 1.3.7 do not support updates yet. You can re-burn the disk to upgrade to version 1.3.7, and then use the script upgrade in step b).

3. Mining machine and revenue monitoring

Visit the official website of F2Pool: https://www.f2pool.com, click the search icon in the upper right corner of the page, enter the Aion wallet address you set for mining, and click "View" to see the operation status of your Aion mining machine and mining income.
